“AN AGE OF NEW BEGINNINGS”
What makes the “Age of New Beginnings”? There is an age-old custom of homiletic s that connects the end of the Torah to its beginning. This is based on the well known concept that the Torah is never-ending. (Devarim 34:10-12) It also teaches us that when we have reached the end of a God given season, we really find ourselves at a new God given beginning. It is a moment that is pregnant with new possibilities. This is a time in our lives where we find our talents shining and our anticipation for the future contagious. It is as though the past experiences in life have provided us with the potential to birth "New beginnings". We at Temple Ami Shalom have found ourselves in this moment. The San Gabriel Valley is filled with Jewish families that have not had an opportunity to connect with each other through the beauty of Community. It is with this in mind that our labor, our study, prayer and Temple is dedicated first to God and then to all of you and your families. We invite you to come and visit us. |
